Luxury self-catering holiday cottage in Findochty, Moray
This cosy 2 bedroom fisherman’s holiday cottage sleeps four and is a stone’s throw from a small, secluded sandy beach, a short walk from a larger sandy beach and within easy walking distance of the harbour and pub. With a private, terraced garden the cottage is the perfect place for lazy days, romantic getaways or simply collecting shells and building sandcastles…

Downstairs is a spacious lounge, entered through a small hallway. There are two leather sofas and a gas effect log burner, a Freeview TV, DVD player, bluetooth speaker. There is a large selection of DVD’s and plenty of books and games (just in case it rains!) and super-fast WiFi. Through a small hallway is the kitchen/diner with a table and chairs for four people. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker, induction hob, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and plenty of crockery and utensils. At the far end of the kitchen is the bathroom with shower (no bath). Please note this is the only bathroom/toilet in the cottage.
Upstairs are the two bedrooms. The main bedroom with double bed has anti-allergy bedding, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe. There is a quirky square window that looks out onto the sea and beach – perfect for gazing out to sea… The twin room has a regular single bed and a 2′ 6″ bed (regular length), both with anti-allergy bedding. There is a small wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cupboard.
The garden is terraced on two levels. The lower patio has a table and chairs, the upper patio has seating and a view of the sea, perfect for a bbq and a glass of wine on those long summer evenings. The shed is a secure storage area for all your outdoor stuff – golf gear, walking boots, surf boards, wet suits etc. There is power for charging golf trolleys, a tumble dryer, a bbq, buckets and spades and fishing nets.

A great cottage for a super relaxing break
Fabulous few days despite the wild weather. Fantastic generous hosts. Great, well equipped cosy cottage. A lovely sheltered beach within a one minute walk. Highly recommended
A wonderful little cottage in a beautiful village
The cottage has everything you’ll need. And very cosy on a stormy evening. The owners were extremely helpful too. If you’re heading to the north east, I would highly recommend booking this cute little cottage.

We had the best weekend stay in this perfect little house. Sparkly clean, comfy beds, well thought out and everything you could think of. We loved the little extras… bubbles, milk, shortbread and chocolate biscuits… even a bowl and towel and treats for Louis the Frenchie… we can’t wait to come back.

What a lovely place, the cottage was so welcoming and the local coast line is an amazing place to explore. Clare was really helpful and so welcoming to us – I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

I cannot fault this place at all. Beautiful cottage. Gorgeous location. Everything you could need there. Fabulous owners who were very attentive to detail. Nothing not to like. Took the dogs and kids to be near family over Christmas. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Loved it.
