You can see the Moray Firth Dolphins anywhere along the coast and at anytime, you can even see them from the garden. However, there are some spots where you’re more likely to see them than others. Keep an eye out at all times!
Overlooking Cullen Bay is a great vantage point for spotting the dolphins. They are often seen around Bow Fiddle Rock in Portknockie, so anywhere along this coast path is good for spotting them.
The dolphins regularly feed at the mouth of the River Spey, this is also home to the Scottish Dolphin Centre with a shop, cafe and free ice house tours (donations welcome). This is definitely worth a visit!
This is a dolphin hot spot and people come from all over the world to see the dolphins here. As the channel is very deep the dolphins seem exceptionally close to where you can watch from. It does get very busy and there is a bus shuttle service from Fortrose to Chanory Point. Take a picnic and make a day of it!
